Start a Circle

Start a Circle by bringing together a small group that meets regularly for guided discussion and leadership development using our free tools and easy-to-use resources.

Starting a Circle is one of the most direct ways to build community and create meaningful professional support around you.

Lean In provides free step-by-step resources to make it easy for anyone to lead or start a Circle.

How to Get Started

  1. Register and invite a few friends to join the group. We recommend small groups of 8 to 12 women-but many Circles start off with even fewer members
  2. Schedule your first meeting. Circles can meet anywhere—at work, home, a nearby coffee shop, or online.
  3. Run your Circle meeting with our step-by-step guides. Choose from dozens of meeting guides on topics from networking to negotiating.
  4. Keep it going—Circles that meet consistently over time report higher satisfaction.
