Who We Are
Lean In Canada is a volunteer-led community of more than 8,500 professional women empowering each other to build purposeful and fulfilling careers. It exists to create accessible, community-based pathways for women to learn, connect, and lead—through local networks, Circles, and events.
Mission and Identity
Lean In Canada’s mission is to empower women to achieve their ambitions in the workplace and break down the barriers to gender equality. We are dedicated to providing women with a supportive community, valuable resources, and practical tools to advance in their careers and personal lives.
Lean In Canada creates opportunities for mentorship, leadership development, and networking through events, Circles and partnerships to close the gender gap in workplaces and communities.
Our Story
Lean In Canada grew from local community beginnings into a national volunteer-led organization supporting women across Canada through city networks, Circles, and events.
Lean In helps women achieve their ambitions and companies create equal and inclusive workplaces.

City Networks
Lean In Canada collaborates with Lean In City Networks in Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Ottawa, and Circle chapters in Halifax and Montreal to offer free Circle community groups and resources to women and organizations nationwide.
Canada Wide!
If you live outside of the areas of our City Networks, Lean In Canada offers Circles, events and resources for you too!
Lean In Around the World!
Lean In Canada is a chapter of the LeanIn.org, an initiative of the Sheryl Sandberg & Dave Goldberg Family Foundation.
Lean In was launched in 2013, inspired by the groundbreaking best-seller by former Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg. Today, more than 100,000 community members in 183 countries have started a Lean In Circle, and new ones are starting every day.
Governance and Leadership
Lean In Canada is powered by volunteers and leaders across the country who help deliver programs, build community, and support local networks.
